How do I care for my candle? The first burn is the most important burn of them all, you must allow the wax to completely melt to the edge of the container. The time it takes will vary depending on the size of the container it can be between 2-4 hours. This first burn prevents tunnelling and creates an even burn. Remember to trim your wick to 1/4" before the first burn. DO NOT burn your candle longer than 4 hours at one time. After your inital burn always trim your wick before each burn to 1/4" to prevent mushrooming ( a build up of black carbon) this will prevent any debris falling into your wax pool. Always replace the candle lid to protect your candle from dust and ensure fragrance longevity.

Why does my soy candle have a bumpy top after burning?A bumpy top after burning is quite common with pure soy wax candles, this is a by product of having all natural wax and it does not affect the performance of your candle. However if you don't like the look you can try gently heating you candle with a hair dryer or heat torch to get back a smooth top.

How do I prevent wick Mushrooming & when should I trim my wick?Candles containing soy wax have a higher chance of a wick 'mushrooming'. This is a build up of black carbon which occurs at the top of the wick in the shape of a mushroom. This is absolutely normal; you just need to cut this off and trim your wick to 1/4" each time before lighting your candle. If you do not trim this off eventually the wick will become too large and fall into the hot candle wax which will ruin the look of your candle. To reduce mushrooming never burn your candle longer than 4 hours at a time, and allow to cool completely before relighting.
